  1. SuperSU.zip OR
  2. Magisk.zip (For Systemless Root)

How to Root OnePlus 5 while remaining encrypted

  1. Install TWRP Recovery on your OnePlus 5 and boot into TWRP Recovery.
  2. Swipe to confirm system modifications.
  3. Move SuperSU.zip or Magisk.zip file into internal storage of your smartphone using MTP.
  4. Now, Tap on Install button.
  5. Then Select the SuperSU.zip or Magisk.zip file.(But do not flash both files)
  6. Swipe to flash the root file and root OnePlus 5.
  7. Finally, Reboot your smartphone.
  8. You also need to download Magisk Manager from Play Store if you flashed Magisk file.

  1. First, Download the latest no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip.
  2. Boot your OnePlus 5 into TWRP Recovery.
  3. Swipe to confirm system modifications.

  4. Move the no-verity-opt-encrypt file into your OnePlue 5 using MTP.
  5. Tap on Install and flash the no-verity-encrypt file.
  6. Go to Wipe and Format data.
  7. Move SuperSu.zip or Magisk.zip file into your smartphone using MTP again.
  8. Now, flash root file using the same method.
  9. Reboot your smartphone.
