Flash TWRP Recovery on unrooted Galaxy S8

  1. Enable USB Debugging on your Galaxy S8 by going to Settings>>Developer options and tick USB Debugging.
  2. Switch off your smartphone and boot into Odin mode by pressing and holding Volume down, Bixby and Power button together.
  3. Open Odin tool and tap on AP button.
  4. Select TWRP-Recovery.img.tar file.
  5. Keep holding Volume up, Bixby and Power button.
  6. Click on Start button to flash TWRP Recovery.
  7. Do not release the button and your Galaxy S8 will boot into TWRP Recovery.

  8. Swipe to confirm the modification notification and follow the guide.
  9. Go to Wipe and Format Data of your Galaxy S8.
  10. Now go to Reboot and tap on Recovery to reboot into TWRP Recovery again.
  11. Move the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip file into your smartphone using MTP.
  12. Tap on Install and select the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip file.
  13. Swipe to flash and reboot.

That’s it TWRP Recovery is flashed on your Galaxy S8.
